Variations across the UK constituent countries
The UK comprises 4 constituent countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
While some areas of Government are covered by UK wide policy, others have been devolved to the local governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Thus, there may be variations in policy between these countries.
Our content is mainly reflective of the policies in England, for two main reasons: i) it would be challenging to describe all the variations within our webpages which are already quite detailed and ii) we are a very small team of volunteers and we do not have the resources to create 4 versions of each area.
